For Selecting the Proper Strength of reading glasses

3. If you are already wearing glasses, remove them.

4. Read down the chart below from your normal reading distance, about 14in (35.5cm).

5. When the text becomes difficult to read, note the dioptre figure on the right.

6. The dioptre value indicates the strength of the lens that you require.
